Putting in for your driving test can be daunting but exciting at the same time. You will be excited about the prospect of the new found freedom you’ll get from passing your driving test. However, getting through it can be nerve wrecking and daunting but the adrenaline will hopefully get you through it. Before you can sit your practical driving test, you will need to have passed your theory test. The theory test is there to test your knowledge of the road, the Highway Code and making you aware of hazards that can come up on the road. The theory is made up of two parts. The first part is the multiple choice questions, and the second part is made up on a hazard perception test. There are 50 questions to be answered as part of the multiple choice questions. You must answer 43 of them correctly in order to pass. You have 57 minutes to answer these questions. The hazard perception test consists of 14 video clips. In each of the video clips there is a 1 hazard, with one clip showing two hazards. You are required to click the mouse as soon as you spot a hazard. In order to pass you must get 44 out of 75.
