Getting to grips with the basics

Take your time with your driving lessons. You aren’t going to be able to drive a car after your first driving lesson; it takes time and effort to get to grips with the basics. The driving instructor that you choose to have your driving lessons from will guide you through your driving lessons step by step.

Once you have turned seventeen you are legally allowed to start learning to drive. Before you can start your driving lessons you’ll need to apply for your provisional driving licence. To get your provisional licence you’ll need to apply to the DVLA. The DVLA is the regulatory body that deals with everybody’s licence as well as car registration and car tax.

Once you have your provisional licence, you’ll need to get in touch with a local driving instructor. There are plenty of driving instructors Kingston, Putney and Streatham for you to choose from. You might not find the right driving instructor straight away. You want a driving instructor who is patient and is fully qualified to teach individuals to learn to drive. The right driving instructor will take their time with you and be patient during your driving lessons.
