Being nervous before your first lesson

Most people are nervous when it comes to learning to drive. This is perfectly normal. Everyone gets nervous before their first driving lesson, especially if it is with an instructor who you haven’t met before.

When it comes to selecting a driving instructor, there are plenty for you to choose from in Streatham, Putney and Kingston. You will have to pick from the vast array of driving instructors in your area. If you are unsure which one to go with, you can ask them what their pass rate is like, obviously the higher the better. You could also ask your friends which driving instructor they used when they were learning to drive.

On your first driving lesson you won’t be thrown into the deep end. The driving instructor will take it really slowly with you and guide you through what you are going to do during each of your lessons. They will probably discuss your theory test with you and advise you to start revising for it and plan to sit it as soon as possible. Once you have passed your theory test you will be able to put in for your practical driving test, obviously when your driving instructor tells you that you are ready.
