Driving Schools Worcester Park & Driving Lessons Worcester Park (KT4)

We are delighted to be able to serve the area of Worcester Park and Old Malden (KT4) with both automatic and manual driving lessons. Please see the information below, which is intended to help develop your key driving competencies further. This has been provided by our fully DSA-licensed driving instructors.

Areas to do Controls/Moving off & Stopping
It is best to start these subjects on a quiet road like The Avenue.

Left/Right turns and emerging at T-Junctions
ADS recommend doing a circuit which starts on The Avenue continues on until The Avenue becomes Grafton Road and then takes a left on to Cromwell Road.  At the end of the road we can emerge left on to Salisbury Road.  At the end of the road turning left takes us back on to The Avenue. ADS suggests once again continuing along The Avenue and taking the left on to Cromwell Road. We can then emerge right back on to Salisbury Road. Just before we reach the end of Salisbury Road (which is a compulsory left turn on to the A240) take a right on to the slip road which runs alongside the A240.   At the end of the slip road we can emerge right on to Grafton Road and take the first turning right on to Cromwell Road. Emerging left we are back on Salisbury road and at the end of this road emerging left again we are back on to The Avenue and ready to start our circuit again.  This route allows the learner to practice steering, MSPSL and Peep and Creep techniques.

Crossroads
The crossroads of London Road (A24), Cheam Common Road(A2043) and Malden Road (A2043) can be used to provide instruction on the methods of turning right-to-right at a crossroads.  The markings indicate a compulsory nearside turn.   For an uncontrolled crossroad we can use the intersection of Salisbury Road, Cromwell Road and Timbercroft.  This junction is a staggered crossroads and so it can be used to explain the correct positioning and observations as well as the priorities.

Roundabouts
The roundabout on the intersection of Leyfield,  Paddock Close and The Manor Drive can be used to illustrate priorities and the appropriate signals for a given exit.

Pedestrian Crossings and use of Signals
Driving down the A2043 (Malden Road which becomes Central Road which becomes Cheam Common Road) there are plenty of crossings which can be used to demonstrate the various different types of crossings and the rules applying to road markings. Planning issues can also be addressed on these roads.

Areas to do manoeuvres
The Reverse around the Corner exercise can be carried out where Forest Side  meets Avondale Avenue. The parallel park can be done in Mayfair Avenue. The Turn in the Road is also easily demonstrated on Mayfair Avenue.
