“Such an amazing tutor that I am in fact part sad that I have passed :)”

Pete has been a great driving instructor. I have had 26 hours worth of lessons with him as a tutor and I have learned more about driving with his help then I have with my two previous driving instructors.

He is very patient and understanding to any mistakes and allows you to learn in your own time.

I would say he is an amazing driving instructor who always strives to get the best out of his pupils.

Such an amazing tutor that I am in fact part sad that I have passed :)

Areas to do Controls/Moving off & Stopping

It is best to start this subject on a quiet road like Buckingham Way. The Drive can be used for uphill starts.

Left/Right turns and emerging at T-Junctions

ADS recommend doing a circuit which starts on Alington Grove, takes the first right on to Stratton Avenue and then turns left on to Carleton Avenue. We can then take the first left on to Hamilton Way. At the end of the road we can emerge left on to Alington Grove. Turning left on to Stratton Avenue and left again on to Carleton Avenue allows us to take the first left on to Hamilton Way. If we emerge right we are back on to Alington Grove. At the end of the road emerging right takes us on to Carleton Avenue. Taking the first right we are on Hamilton Way. We can then emerge left back on to Alington Grove. This allows the learner to practice steering, MSPSL and Peep and Creep techniques.

Crossroads

The crossroads of Stafford Road, Woodcote Road and Stanley Park Road can be used to illustrate priorities and the extra observation applied at crossroads. This junction can also be used to provide instruction on the methods of turning right-to-right at a crossroads..

Roundabouts

The roundabout where Stanley Park Road and Boundary Road come together; can be used to illustrate priorities, methods of positioning and the appropriate signals for a given exit.

Pedestrian Crossings and use of Signals

Driving down Forresters Drive, Sandy Lane South or Stafford Road there are plenty of crossings which can be used to demonstrate the various different types of crossings and the rules applying to road markings. Planning issues can also be addressed on these roads.

Areas to do manoeuvres

The Reverse around the Corner exercise can be carried out where Church Road meets Church Hill. The parallel park can be done in Buckingham Way. The Turn in the Road is easily demonstrated on either Buckingham Way or Church Road.
