“Rawn transformed my driving”

I recently passed my test with Rawn with only a few lessons! Thanks to him for his positive encouragement and new techniques.  With his knowledge he transformed me from a very nervous driver to a completely safe driver.   I was let down in the past by other instructors but he really encouraged me and believed in me that I CAN PASS AND I DID WITH ONLY A FEW MINOR FAULTS!  Thanks again Rawn.

Driving Schools Surbiton & Driving Lessons Surbiton (KT6)

We are delighted to be able to serve the area of Driving Schools Surbiton (KT6) with both automatic and manual driving lessons. Please see the information below which is intended to help develop your key driving competencies further. It has been provided by our fully DSA-licensed driving instructors.

Areas to do controls/Moving off & Stopping

Langley Avenue is suitable to practice moving off and stopping.

Left/Right turns and emerging at T-Junctions

Begin on Langley Avenue and then turn right on to Woodlands Road. From here, continue along and follow the bend around until emerging right on to Corkran Road. The student will then find themselves back on Langely Avenue. Follow the road as it bends and emerge left on to Ditton Road. At the end of this road, turn left on to Southborough Road and then another left back on to Langley Avenue once more. This is a good circuit to practice turns and emerging at T-Junctions and allows steering, MSPSL and peep and creep techniques can be practiced.

Crossroads

There are good crossroads on Claremont Road, Maple Road and Surbiton Crescent that can be used well to illustrate priorities and the necessary extra observation that is required. Methods of turning right-to-right on crossroads can be practiced here also.

Roundabouts

The Hook roundabout is suitable for illustrating the correct signaling, positioning and priorities that need to be applied at roundabouts for any given exit.

Pedestrian Crossings and use of Signals

There are plenty of crossings on Victoria Road from which the student can gain experience of this topic. This road also enables planning issues to be addressed.

Areas to do maneuvers

Reversing around a corner can be performed where Langley Avenue meets either Southborough Road or Kirkleas Road. Parallel parking can also be practiced in Southborough Road. The Turn in the Road can be carried out on Kirkleas Road.
