I am writing to thank the school for providing me with the skills to pass my driving test.
Having failed my driving test twice thirteen years ago and having not been behind the wheel since, I was quite wary about trying again. But my instructor, Martin, made me feel completely at ease. The course had more structure than my lessons years ago and, I have to say, the professionalism and manner in which Martin teaches had me wishing I'd been able to learn from someone like him from the start. I think he must be the most patient person I have met!”

Areas to do controls/Moving off & Stopping
Fife Road is suitable for moving off and stopping.
Left/Right turns and emerging at T-Junctions
A circuit beginning on Fife Road is recommended. From Fife Road, the student should turn right on to Christchurch Road to then emerge right on to Sheen Lane. From here, continue down this road until taking a left turn back on to Fife Road. Follow Fife Road as it veers left on to Parkgate Gardens. From here the student can emerge left on to Clare Lawn Avenue. At the end of this road a left will take the student back on to Sheen Lane and then another left leads on to Fife Road. Steering, MSPSL and Peep and Creep techniques can be practiced here.
Crossroads
At Parkgate Gardens and Clare Lawn Avenue are suitable crossroads where priorities and the necessary extra observation required at crossroads can be illustrated. For understanding methods of right-to-right crossroads, Sheen Lane and Upper Richmond Road West can be used.
Meeting Traffic
When two cars meet and yet there is only room for one to pass, this is known as meeting
traffic. The body language of the other car is key to knowing how to proceed safely. Try Christchurch Road for a place to develop understanding of this critical topic.
Pedestrian Crossings and use of Signals
Upper Richmond Road has a generous amount of crossings and signals for the student to gain an understanding of. This road also enables planning issues to be addressed.
Areas to do Maneuvers
Reversing around the Corner can be practiced safely where Fife Road meets Parkgate Gardens. There is plenty of opportunity to practice parallel parking on Parkgate Gardens. Fife Road is suitable for the Turn in the Road exercise.
