...a quality driving instructor..I had Suresh as my driving instructor. He is undoubtedly one of the best in business. What I liked about him was his professionalism. Unlike most other schools who are trying to fleece you by asking you to sign up for more classes than you need, Suresh told me during our first class that I needed another couple of classes since I had been driving abroad for the last 8 years. He understands your weak points well and will drill it down your head till you amend them. I found his constructive criticism very helpful. He's well spoken and doesn't get upset even if you keep committing the same mistake. All in all, I would unreservedly recommend him to anyone looking for a competent driving instructor. We are delighted to be able to serve the area of Driving School Raynes Park (SW20) with both automatic and manual driving lessons. Please see the information below which is intended to help develop your key driving competencies further. It has been provided by our fully DSA-licensed driving instructors.
Parkway is a perfect place for the student to practice moving off and stopping. It is a quiet street where the student can learn about moving off and stopping as well as getting to know the controls of the car.
Affinity Driving School recommends the following circuit for carrying out turns and emerging at T-junctions:
Begin on Lambton Road, heading away from Raynes Park train station. Turn right onto Rosevine Road and continue along until the end. From here, the student should turn left onto Pepys Road. Take the second left onto Pendarves Road, and then at the end of the road turn left back onto Lambton road. To extend the circuit, the student can take the very next left onto Kenwyn Road and then at the end of the road run right onto Pepys Road. If the student takes the next right they will find themselves back on Rosevine road, and at the end of this road turn back onto Lambton Road in either direction.
This circuit provides a good, quiet route to practice steering, MSPSL and peep and creep techniques.
When two cars meet and yet there is only room for one to pass, this is known as meeting traffic. The body language of the other car is key to knowing how to proceed. Westway is a good street to gain a good understanding of this.
Halfway along Grand Drive the student will find a double Mini - Roundabout where a good understanding of how to negotiate and cross them safely can be gained. Priorities and the appropriate signals to use can also be practiced here.
For the student to get practice negotiating pedestrian crossings, Grand Drive is a good road to use. Not too busy but with plenty of crossings, this road is ideal.
Parkway offers the student a quiet place to practice the turn in the road and parallel parking. Reversing around a corner can be practiced at the corner of Lambton Road and Rosevine Road.
