Areas to do controls/Moving off & Stopping

A quiet road like Milner Road is suitable for this.

Left/Right turns and emerging at T-Junctions

We would like to recommend the following circuit; Begin on Morton Road and turn left on to Wandle Road then left again on to Milner Road. From here take a right on to Seddon Road and then right on to Edward Avenue. Continue along Edward Avenue and turn left at the bottom on to Wandle Road, then a right will take you back on to Morton Road. Steering, MSPSL and Peep and Creep techniques can be practiced here.

Crossroads

Leonard Avenue, The Drive and Seddon Road all have useful crossroads for practice. Priorities and the extra observation required can be illustrated well here. Methods for safe negotiation of right to right crossroads can be illustrated where Epsom Road meets Tudor Drive.

Roundabouts

A suitable roundabout for practice is where Morden Road, Morden Hall Road and London Road (A24) meet. Priorities, positioning and correct signaling can be illustrated here.

Pedestrian Crossings and use of Signals

Martin Way and Crown Lane hold many examples of pedestrian crossings and signals. Plenty of practice can be had here. This road also enables planning issues to be addressed.

Areas to do maneuvers

The quiet roads off Seddon Road can be used for maneuver practice.
