Home Colliers Wood

...a quality driving instructor..

I had Suresh as my driving instructor. He is undoubtedly one of the best in business. What I liked about him was his professionalism. Unlike most other schools who are trying to fleece you by asking you to sign up for more classes than you need, Suresh told me during our first class that I needed another couple of classes since I had been driving abroad for the last 8 years. He understands your weak points well and will drill it down your head till you amend them. I found his constructive criticism very helpful. He's well spoken and doesn't get upset even if you keep committing the same mistake. All in all, I would unreservedly recommend him to anyone looking for a competent driving instructor.

Driving Schools Colliers Wood & Driving Lessons Colliers Wood (SW19)

We are delighted to be able to serve the area of Colliers Wood (SW19) with both automatic and manual driving lessons. The information below is intended to help develop your key driving competencies. It has been provided by our fully DSA-licensed driving instructors.

Areas to do controls/Moving off & Stopping

A quiet road such as Marlborough or Robinson Road is ideal for this.

Left/Right turns and emerging at T-Junctions

The circuit that we would recommend is as follows: Start on Marlborough Road, turn left on to Norfolk Road and you will then emerge left on to Robinson Road. Taking the first left will take the student on to Bidhurst Road. Take the next right on to Clive Road, at the end of which turn left on to Park Road. If you take the second left you will end up back on Marlborough Road. Steering, MSPSL and Peep and Creep techniques can be practiced here.

Meeting Traffic

When two cars meet and yet there is only room for one to pass, this is known as meeting traf?c. The body language of the other car is key to knowing how to proceed correctly. Cavendish Road is recommended for mastering this difficult topic.

Roundabouts

To illustrate priorities, positioning methods and correct signals at roundabouts, we can suggest the roundabout to be found where Merantun Way, Watermill Way and High Street meet.

Pedestrian Crossings and use of Signals

The Collier Wood High Street contains a whole range of crossings and signals. Practicing here will enable the student will become familiar with all the different types. This route also allows planning issues to be addressed.

Areas to do maneuvers

The corner of Cavendish Road and Holmbury road is suitable for reverse around a corner practice. Alternatively, the corner of Park Road and Marlborough Road provides a quiet area for this maneuver. For turns in the road, try Wilton Road. Cavendish Road is also ideal for parallel parking.
